yeah, i think people will tend to merge them unless they can tell they're different... like isrcs, relationships or whatever

Because they are literally the same recording, with a slightly altered mix...

then again, it's complicated enough as it is, and the main benefit is less duplication of performance ARs.

hmm. to make the character artist credits autoconvert in NGS, I'd have to make "エルシィ starring 伊藤かな恵" a collaboration artist between エルシィ and 伊藤かな恵.

I can't imagine people would be any happier with that in the current DB than what we have now :/

If we want to just minimize AR duplication, Work → Performance → Recording → Recording (for remixes) is probably enough

And they'd, presumably, have AR's that wouldn't apply to the MasterRecording

Hmm. what should I do when vocals done with an artist credit like "Chorus: エルシィ starring 伊藤かな恵". Can't do that in NGS because you can only link an AR to an artist, not via the artist credit system :/
