maybe I don't use picard enough to notice a difference (i don't load many files at once, because I fear it crashes), but I don't notice any change with latest bzr (which is some days old already)

luks, still loading files - looks like this is both much faster and much more stable on loading

it's a side effect of the threading changes

now it uses 3 shared threads

so if you are only loading files, you have 3x more speed

3k files loaded, at least 200 dirs/subdirs, mbid-id's and not mix... no crash - 3200 files now
