It's sort of idiotic to accept Excel but not accept Word format.

So they could be a bit more consistent in choosing the preferred formats.

I've got nothing against OpenOffice.

they're only interested in the viewers being free, not the authoring software. and they use MS viewers for excel and powerpoint, but only accept pdf... rather braindead

I wouldn't mind it so much if it weren't so slow and computer-hogging
