right now i'm using jaikoz which is a bit fustrating
BrianFreud
warp: IE 6 sorta renders it - it renders up til this, then dies: <object class="thumbnail" alt="Quaristice" title="Quaristice" type="image/svg+xml" data="http://320x200.org/2008/quaristice.32...; width="320" height="200" />
warp
FauxFaux: lol
BrianFreud: how surprising :)
w33d5
and the java is slow as balls
FauxFaux
warp: You massively lose my definition of a site that decays properly. =p
FauxFaux laughs at w33d5.
BrianFreud applauds that concept
w33d5
any sugguestions on linux enabled mass taggers
ruaok
w33d5: use picard. I tagged 10k reasonably well tagged files in 3 hours.
w33d5
aside from picard
ruaok
have you tried 0.9.0?
w33d5
all the dragging is ridiculous
maybe not
its gets unbearable when there are 200 albums listed below and you can see where you're dragging
ruaok
well, I garantee you that you can tag your files faster with picard than trying to install all teh MB server.
warp
FauxFaux: the site is mainly intended for some svg experiments, i didn't see the point in testing on IE.
w33d5
point taken
BrianFreud
all the dragging? I'd much rather have a tagger that doesn't make assumptions... Every other tagger I've tried, it tags all sorts of bork in, because they try to "guess" WAY too much.
"Deluxe Edition" is pretty predominant on the liner...
luks
BrianFreud: then we need disc 1 of that Deluxe Edition
BrianFreud
well, the text on the liner reads "2CD Set" - not something like "with bonus disc"
petros
warp: "This is hardcore"
FauxFaux
I'm comming hardcore.
petros
luks: disc 1 is the "ordinary" edition of "This is hardcore"
luks
petros: I know
petros
disc 2/bonus is be-sides,demos and shit.
BrianFreud
per box set style, if it's a 2 CD set, then the disc 1 that's otherwise identical ought to be also listed in the DE version - that your point luks?
luks
yes
but: "(disc 2)" needs "(disc 1)"
BrianFreud
agreed
luks
"(bonus disc)" needs just the regular album
BrianFreud
agreed. To me, this just doesn't look like a "bonus disc" situation where we can use that out :)
petros
So when is it a bonus cd and when is it a seperate edition?
Last time people went the other way, now you're swinging back to my original impression.
BrianFreud
The definition of BonusDisc doesn't really specify, but my own sense is that it's only a bonus disc if it's actually listed on the CD or liner as a bonus disc
petros
So these "Deluxe Editions" should be listed such, with seperate entries even if disc 1 matches the original album?
luks
"A bonus disc is a disc of material that is considered extra to the Release. It is used to show the difference between true multi-disc releases (eg, The Beatles - The White Album [WWW] (disc 1) & [WWW] (disc 2)), and normal releases augmented by bonus tracks (eg, The Fall - [WWW] Hex Enduction Hour & [WWW] Hex Enduction Hour (bonus disc))." seems whice clear to me
warp
petros: sometimes. it mostly depends on how it's labelled on the release IMO.
luks
er
s/whice/quite/
sometimes I wonder how I'm able to produce such "typos"
BrianFreud
yeah, the discussion by Gecks and drsaunde seems like they wanted to change from my type of definiton of a bonus disc, such that it would also cover this type of situation.
petros
Release is labeled by albumtitle. But in a plastic cover (as per picture) that states it's a "deluxe edition"
BrianFreud
While I'm all for removing dupes, personally, I think that extends the concept too far.
warp
petros: yes, i think of the cover as similar to japanese OBI's. not part of the release itself.
s/cover/plastic cover/
petros
Anyways I've had my say. I'll let the verdict be up to you :)
Mirrakor
Hm.. should I get an iPod nano video? :D
FauxFaux
No!
zoke
Mirrakor I find the screen is too small
Mirrakor
hm... I just had one over the last night - found it rather comfortable - but no in-depth-experience
