hah, four results - two are part L, two are really part i
brianfreud
:P
ok, I think the chances of "foo part i bar" are fairly 50/50 too, as to it being sentence or part, so in that one particular case, I'll err on the safe side and assume sentence
(That means part vi also treated the same way in Norwegian mode mo)

update git
--> oggrenamer.py
please report bugs, it probably needs a bit of work
brianfreud
will do :)
how do I tell it to recursively check a the subdirs of /foo ?
alastairp
for i in foo; do rename $i /dest; done
:)
brianfreud
so it'll be renaming them as it submits the puids?
brianfreud just wants to submit puids, not rename or move...
brianfreud hears echos of warp :D
alastairp
hmmm
yes, probably
although
brianfreud
I'm looking to run it on post-picard files, so they're already tagged/located where i want them, I just want to be able to post-picard submit puids, as luks' original script did
alastairp
if you just want to submit,
run albumidentify.py album/
should work on ogg, flac, mp3

[08:13] * nikki wonders how many words 2 minutes of speaking would be
depends on what language :D
nikki
it depends on a lot of factors
this thing needs to be 2 minutes long, but I have no idea how long that would be
iiuc, that page details course of action during migration
nikki forgot to add it
nikki adds it now
it will know to do category:user -> use:namefoo, i like tha
t
nikki :D takk
can you think of anything else?
alastairp
nikki: 12pt times new roman :)
gatuguroobu
we have a page "MusicBrain" ??
looks bork
and things like ReleaseUrlRelationship, it looks wrong "Release URL Relationship", I'd add a hyphen between release and url, what do you think of that?
nikki
gatuguroobu: I've been editing that page for a few days, so I've already added all the things I've seen so far :P
gatuguroobu
and i think MBChatLogger should stay MBChatLogger, it's not got a space nit's name
nikki
and yeah, I'd add one too
oh! I noticed on the eee earlier that sortname sometimes turns into Sortname and somethings to Sort Name
warp
nikki: just time yourself?
gatuguroobu
so can i edit it too? i don't want to be told not to fuck sstuff up
nikki
it's a wiki, sure :P
gatuguroobu
\o/
are you finished editing, no edit conflicts
nikki
warp: well, yeah, but I don't like speaking so I'd rather say it as few times as possible :)
but the only other way I can guess it by number of words
but I have noooo idea how many it would be
gatuguroobu: yes, I'm done
gatuguroobu
one thing agaisnt non CamelCase: when i see title name "How To Add Disc IDs" i automatically get the reactino to turn it into "How to Add Disc IDs"
XD
guess case the wiki, loi
is musicbrain a typo?
nikki
it's one of the pages I would delete
gatuguroobu
we'll look at it when we go trough thr pages then
nikki
I think a number of pages were created simply 'cause usemod/moinmoin turned camel case stuff into links
gatuguroobu
warp: is it OC ReMicx or OCReMix?
hmmmm
nikki
it has a space, I looked it up
gatuguroobu
will be aesoem to finally fix that
nikki :D
warp
oh, it's a catcat in disguise.
gatuguroobu
:D
who you think it was?
Nathan Explosion?
:D
MBChatLogger
I hate the evil empire
warp
i think freenode should charge 10 EUR to change nicks, like microsoft does.
gatuguroobu
no
alastairp
they do?
gatuguroobu
besides i didn't do it, the client did because something logged me out, and i haven't been arshed to /nick Catgroove
and i can't be catcat, because Herr Eple is catcat
MBChatLogger
I hate the evil empire
warp
alastairp: on xbox live arcade, if you want to change the gamertag of your account, that costs 800 microsoft points.
nikki
be catcatcat :P
gatuguroobu
nah
alastairp
warp: heh, right
gatuguroobu
better to re-use old nicks than to keep creating new ones
TRM ID -> TRM-ID ?
nikki
no
gatuguroobu
okidoki
should actual HowTo's be How To, How-To, HowTo or How-to ?
aCiD2 joined the channel
it's like "ToDo"
nikki would use 'how to' and 'to do' in normal english, so would do the same in the wiki
gatuguroobu would use HowTo or How-To for these *guides*
well :)
we can poll people what they think later if need be
MClemo
how-to do something... I'm with nikki
gatuguroobu
ok, so i was wondering, about using namespaces. when and if do we do that? the main positive bit is that a search can be set to spesifically include, exlude or exclusivly search in either namespace
all namespaces hare two fold, pair numbers are namespace, the oddnumber following is the talkpages for thaat namespace type
eh main, main_talk, users, user_talk
eg*
nikki
I think official docs should be in their own namespace and I think luks agreed
but I'm not sure exactly what that includes
gatuguroobu
so i was thinking that Official styleguidelines (official docs, that?) coudl be in its own namespace
nikki wonders if luks is around
nikki
well docs could mean the official stuff like wikidocs stuff
gatuguroobu
yes
nikki
or it could be the official style guidelines, or both
gatuguroobu
oh yes
luks
morning
nikki
hey!
do you remember when we mentioned a different namespace for official docs?
gatuguroobu
i think offical styleguidelines coudl benefit, because then we couldsay "search in that namespace" and then users wouldnt get lots of unrelated unoffical discussion and proposals
well anyway, what would you put in another namespace?
luks
me? just official docs
but the namespace should be searchable by default
nikki
is that wikidocs stuff, style guideline stuff or both?
luks
hm
gatuguroobu
there are of course categories, and they should be in those too, but if in a namespace, users can easily do a search specifically *in* that namespace, e.g. a search for "volume" in OSG namespace, would probably only yield actual volume styleguide references rather than lots of stuff just talking about it. <-
luks
I'd say wikidocs
and all style guidelines should be wikidocs
gatuguroobu
hmm
wikidocs, are the transclusioned pages?
nikki
yes
gatuguroobu
well yes thne i agree
very much
ok, what are we gonna do with the Help: namespace, it's a default, but unles we populate it with usefull data it's kinda pointless
luks
maybe Help: could be the wikidocs namespace
gatuguroobu always found that the wikipedia search was confusing, didn't understadn what all the options where before i read the mediawiki pages now
gatuguroobu
hmmmm
are all wikidocs typical "help" pages?
nikki
I don't think so
gatuguroobu
they seem t obe documentation. more "manual" than "help"
category Man:
:D
luks
heh
gatuguroobu
that would be awesome
actual help, help pages, would be the "how do id othi" and FAQ type pages
erh, "how to foo"
move those to help and have one for wikidocs, i'd say
luks
I think "how to foo" should be regular pages in the main namespace
