hmm. not much -- I'm making an output from a new i18n plugin
ok, *reading*
ruaok
aCiD2: where in the site layout should the music_news page go?
I've got it under /statistics right now, since that fits under the hood, but it looks very odd.
start a new toplevel dir 'news' ?
aCiD2
ruaok: template structure should match controller structure, depends where you want to put the controller :)
pronik
that's just stupid -- to fix unicode you have to disable it?
i don't get it, but anyway, it works
aCiD2
pronik: erm, no, you missed the point
decode anything coming in to your app, and encode whatever goes out
decode != turn utf off
CatCat
Now grooving to: Loudness ~ Heavy Chains (4:20) (from Please Let There Be My Kind of Music - Heavy Music) (1985)
aCiD2
anyway need me desparately, or can I pop off to bed? :)
ruaok
that sounds ass backwards. shouldn't I chose the controller location based on the URL structure?
lets settle this one question and I'll let you go.
brianfreud
* ruaok <3 TT <- me too, in a big way :)
ruaok nods
nikki
hey brian
brianfreud
hey
brianfreud is in and out of channel tonight :P
aCiD2
ruaok: No, URL structure is independant of anything
by default, it will take the controller layout, but you can change that too (see the addrelease controller)
ruaok
hmmm. its clear that my understanding of URL structure is a bit thin still
ok, I'll check it.
aCiD2
URL structure should reflect model interactions, I believe
ruaok
well, I'll put it someplace where it makes sense and then I'll post a patch or push some changes or something silly like that.
aCiD2
but the root directory matches the controller names because a. that's how template names are automatically inferred (saves a line of typing) and b. matches intution
ruaok: I'd say, keep it for the moment, but let's test it against the TT site when the js is in
nikki grumbles at osx
The DOM manipulations done by the current js screw up the urchin js page load time a good bit - with the page hooks that I've added in (say, for the sidebar), there's much less need for DOM manipulation
nikki
heh, I blocked that google script ages ago for being too slow to load
brianfreud
so there should be less effect... worth at least our time trialing it
CatCat would search for uriah heep to add disc ids
becasue all bloddy releases should be in there already by now
navap hasn't looked into cdstubs at all, but if you look the disc up in picard, shouldn't you get a page saying it's already in the database and you can log in and add it?
some guys don't want a mb account
navap
Well, I meant, since you have one you would be able to make the connection in the db.
