gioele: Picard strips id3v1 tags just fine for me. If there are lyric tags or whatever they're called, Picard won't delete them. I use another program to detect if those are there and fix them up.

I use 0.11 now, but 0.10 had the same result.

navap: I still have genre tags and other id3v1 tags on some files I tagged with picard

Did you check "Clear existing tags before writing new tags"?

And of course, I hope "Write ID3v1 tags to files" is unchecked :)

Are you sure they are id3v1 tags? Maybe they are some other type of tag...I also have "Remove APEv2 tags" checked.

pbryan, personally i havent really noticed it take 24 hours

i havent done any real testing but it seems like sometimes at night i can run them trhough MIP and have picard tag them correctly in teh morning

well, it seems to be all files, I use picard in the usual way, the settings are all default, and I usually have rhythm box open at the time. BUt then the files are unusable with any client
