luks, the quick fix and imo the proper one would be to configure the test.mb.org to use stimpy or zim as a smart relay host

but zim might also need configuring to allow test.mb.org to relay through it

so why do people need to relay things?

most clients can't do mx records and it goes back to when few people had permanent net connections

you pass the mail to a machine that is better capable of handling it and is always connected

I can do it with functions from the utf8 module

in PHP I had to write my own

but I can *never* remember which voodoo combination to use

utf8:is_utf8 checks only for a utf8 flag

if what you're using works, I'd just keep it

well, it decodes the string, which is more than i need

if utf8::valid doesn't do it, then the only way I know is decoding it

i don't like the "[INTERNAL]" in the documentation for utf8:valid :)

luks: i'll take the artistfilter bug, here's why:

i'm currently working on the artistfilter (last night, that is) to fork the processed to the add artist page, and then back to the workflow for adding artists.

Weird. I managed to get the latest win-Picard work by creating some sort of error upon close. Now it complains that I haven't entered my MB info into the config at every startup, but at least it now loads the albums.

And it also loads one album I tagged automatically at startup.

I don't understand how I always manage to create these strange situations. :)

Also, if I take the proxy server settings off from the client, it hangs on album loading bit. :)

btw. the mb-users thread would be even more irritating if people used the new terminology album->release (release date -> release events), (album attributes -> release attributes) :-)

I have a manually defined proxy at my browser and apparently have to input it to Picard too

try to close it and then open http://localhost:8000/wakeup in your browser

if this will help, than something is obviously blocking picard
