nikki_: there is one problem using memcached on a replicated server. If something has changed, you might not always see the latest. Because replication applies changes directly to the DB, the cached value doesn't get updated.

which is partly why I haven't bothered to learn how it works :)

then the get() and set() commands are no-ops, IIRC

well, when i was little i took apart a copy machine for some guy

and he payed me for all the switches i could find in it

so i figured that the switches in a mouse were just like the ones in that machine only smaller

but they werent
