okay great! I just had a few notes of asking me why I voted no, and without a note, and all I could figure was it was a misclick or something.. it bothers me, because usually I do leave notes, and of course it was bad cause I got tied up with family stuff for almost a week.

prodoc, what is official for the disc release (factory) is what mb generally follows. Irreguardless if it's a split track or not.

Yesterday I was late in thanks to the Northern line being arsed up with some fire up near Kings Cross, and a broken train at London Bridge

Today, I was late in by 2 hours! :|

The central line was suspended, bus services were overwhelmed and slow, other lines were packed and flaky too

I got it. :) well, they are supposedly supposed to be credited to the soundtrack style guide and composer... but, yeah, I wouldn't want to deal with that mess. I'm sure anything you chose to do would be an improvement.

We have to credit it to the person(s) who did the vocals. which then gets stuffed up as the only credit I can find for Akash's theme is the composer.

Why do you say you have to credit it to the person(s) that did the vocals?

because no-one would agree with crediting these soundtracks the same as classical with the composers credited as track artists

mudcrow, currently they are all grouped as soundtrack, which goes by composer.

Even if I don't agree personally... I have yet to figure out all of the varied "types" of soundtracks.

In this instance, any clearing up I imagine would be appreciated.

But... as soon as I have a breath to breath edgewise that I can think. :) I'll be submitting a request for all the varied different soundtrack types and try to get the soundtrack style changed to reflect what's appropriate for the different types.

The track is, as I have noted, in fact the entire album of the same name, but the track, in one (long) piece, isn't on any records per se.

I personally think you're going to have a hard time on this one. It wasn't released as a factory disc, and it wasn't released for download anywhere like this.

You could put that link there as your "argument" to allow it, however I didn't find any "proof" of the singular non breaking track at all.

But never the less, it was meant to be listenable both one at a time and in one go.

I don't believe there's a true way to handle that in the guidelines... I've heard voice of not allowing it, but I imagine that is a case by case standing.

That might be a good idea. You may end up getting a lot more votes than normal on the moderation, but, it's certainly a grey area.
