I somehow doubt that all the stupidity of labels can be fixed in one PDF when a bunch of web pages won't do that job.

yllona: and btw, i think the few paragraphs on the mb homepage are a good intro to what mb is about

MB needs an artist/label page, where all the info is linked in. if it already exists, point me to it.

well, that intro is not just for the labels.

remove the word labels from when you ask for feedback. simple.

major labels do suck

isn't it as simple as that: we judge them from what we see from an endusers perspective (which we are)

I saw a label guy adding stuff for a band they have

ru: many small (not indies) have conscientious employees and execs, trying to navigate the quagmire jsut like MB.

however, the reamining choke point still seems to be distribution (as it's aleays been)

*always been, back to the days of sheet msuic publishing in the 18th century

so all i'm saying, is make MB easy to understand for a traditional industry, with long standing practices, i'm not saying that their modus operandi is efficient. but neither is MB (yet). :)

you have to help them understand why MB is important (and useful).

yllona: not arguing with you on any of those points.

but, first I want to see wikidocs come to fruition.

once it does we can see how to fix and improve it.

MB can actually be good (free) advertising for the smaller labels with limited distribution. They can add their artists and provide links to where people can purchase the music
