i've got some doubts about libtunepimp... first, is it ok to just use the c++ classes, instead of the c wrapper?
      • luks
        yes
      • Untouch
there are no docs, but if the classes are stable (I mean, they don't change in minor versions) that wouldn't be really a problem, I guess
      • ruaok
Untouch: depends on what you want to use it for.
      • if you ever plan to distribute your code you must ensure that the same compiler compiles both the lib and the calling code.
      • Untouch
        yeah, c++ brings this problem

I've seen the code to make the lookups was removed, though. And it was pretty much what we used tunepimp for
      • can I used libmusicbrainz directly for that, now?
      • luks
        for PUID lookups?
      • Untouch
        yep
      • luks

      • PUID support is implemented only in the new XML web service
      • Untouch

      • luks
that was the reason to remove the code from libtunepimp
      • Untouch
