but there are lots of obvious ones that people just haven't done - it isn't that clear when it hasn't been set, although I guess it doesn't matter too much until you assign a date as well

albums should have a row with the heading AR and then just a number of how amny AR's its got

well I tend to do the ones I come across. plust the ones I make. and the ones in my sub's (that arent in my subs because they're bogus)

the release dates submissions were syncing our database with musicbrainz

now our music staff enter it all into MusicBrainz

and our database steals it from there

we spend quite a lot of time adding intro times and segue points to our music

but once it is in the system, it is much easier playing off computer

and it can play tracks back to back automatically

(and sound good)

admittedly some stations if you have more than a dozen artists you have more variety but I assume if you're using MB you're not one of those

most radio stations play a very limited selection of music :(

how do you submit albums to freedb so that they can be imported into MB?

use a CD ripping/playing program that supports freedb submission

they have a list on the freedb.org website of programs

I'm not familiar with any mac ones off the top of my head

Ohhh, and I just learned about Mac app bundles and all that. Its now pretty easy.

I don't understand the confusion, people think TRM's come from dsics or freeDB or tracktimes or whatever. as far as I understood it, TRM is some thing (that we don't controll) that creates a fingerprint offa the 20 first secs aod a datafile mp3 or ogg?
