theres no moderation, no checking, the data gets duplicated, triplicated, centicated... people follow no order, no guides, type in any case they feel like, with or without spaces, punctuation, etc.

and accents are a mess

See, I come from the industrial side of things. So I tend to call synthpop synthpop. Where as someone coming from an electronic / dance side of things would call it electroclash.

folksonomy, i guess, is basicly, whatever other people pick is what you get suggested

another problem with freedb is that the artists are all mangled and combined, you cant find stuff from just one artist
