does anybody know how to rip a toc file from a cd?

well it's not a file, the toc is just the data about where the audio tracks lie

no, there are .toc files that can be used to burn exact copies

well it doesn't exist as a file on the CD at least.

never heard of a .toc file though, it's usually .cue files

I know, the .toc file is generated from the cd's toc

cue's are IIRC used more for video and data

it means the server will never return them again. If a file corresponding to a deleted TRM is looked up again, then it'll get a *different* trm back.

I guess I can't see any reason why the TRM server would hash a given audio stuff differently

well, yes and no. I mean, you could take a bunch of coordinates and then hash it down with md5 or somesuch
