he doesn't want the data to be accurate because he'd prefer it to be delimited with commas

so rather than vote yes or abstain, then enter a mod with commas, he prefers that my profile get a mod rejection added to it

it's not really what i would expect from an automod

its a thin red line between accurate data and formatting it under common styleguides

I tend to say yes if it's adding data unless it's really bad

it's a discouragement to participation

and his comments on various mods often say 'i doubt this is right' rather than the result of any research

also, you really shouldn't blame him for voting against you rather than abstaining and nullifying your change later on

as an automod, i try not to override other peoples changes with automod powers unless they are clearly very wrong

if several people approve a mod, it seems unbecoming of an automod to just say, "I don't care, I want it my way"

i'm not suggesting he nullify the change, a later mod about style would augment my change, not reverse it

well voting against a mod that obviously improves the accuracy of the data isn't what i would expect from an automod either

remember that an automod's votes are no more significant than any other mods

commenting why the no vote would also make more sense

it's only their edits that are different

(and only some of them)

people are really way too worried about the negative impact of a few failed mods

i do look at that when voting, but I look more for patterns of edits that show leap-before-looking, or worse, poor interactions with other mods

vote-before-looking also has a negative effect on non-mainstream data

it's frustrating when someone is spoonfed all the relevant information and still votes no

i think the notes should be closer to the radiobuttons, i have the inline album display for add album mods activated, and i have to scroll down to read the notes about the album. if they were nearer, it would be much easier to take the notes into account as well

while people are active - is there any layed out or preferred style somewhere for large collaborations? IE a series of album where each track has 2-10 different artists collaborating?

slander: we discussed that we should require a note for a NO-vote, so i guess this will be incorporated sometime

but depending on how you count that production company is 47 or so girls

or more if you count their soccer team

I really find that primary artist = long list of artists who only collaborate on that track is pretty useless

if they're all in hello!project, and the album is in some way connected with that, I would say that's the best choice for the artist

basically the series is "Lets throw a random assortment of our artists in a both and have them sing kids songs"

since there are ~6-7 in the kids song series and 5 in the folks song there's bound to be overlapping combos

i just think that AR links will handle that sort of detail much better than primary artist names

outside of that h!p likes to do random combos in concert performances when they do whole company concerts and not individual group/artists

at the time they were made, anyway, so tracks with 20-45 singers on them

that statement probably applies to 1/4 the data in MB

i would be less wary of doing that if search were more inclusive

since published cover art tends to have strange formatting (not just in .jp) etc.

dupuy: I do see the point in putting them under h!p, it just feels odd since there are tracks actually credited to h!p so artificialy putting others under there makes it unclear if you're not really familiar with the company which were actualy released that way and which were put under there because it made more sense than entering 5-10 names in a string
