does anyone know more about the Relatable TRM code? Although libmusicbrainz is LGPLed, its README file seems slightly wishy washy about whether or not the TRM code is really free...

mkc: I'm not positive, but as far as I know, to TRM code in libmb is LGPL, it's not a complete implementation of the TRM code

dvtoo: ok, this is fine. I wonder, though, about the README file. What does it mean that "Relatable has graciously given MusicBrainz a FREE license to use the TRM technology with MusicBrainz"? Is the code still, then, encumbered somehow, I wonder?

For those who are interested: http://test.musicbrainz.org/ has been updated to the latest server code. See the URL I posted earlier for the change log.

mkc: it calculates a bunch of parameters, and then submits them to the relatable server, to get the trm back. I suspect the license is for use of the TRM generation server
