ok thx then I'll update it with this info
can you update the wiki page to remove the reference to trac please? Just to avoid confusing others like me :)
jesus2099: Yeah... I wanted to look them over before actually making the edit. :)
m8ram
if that section is not in use can that be marked then somehow? If you use the search like I did there is no indication that the information found is not relevant anymore
reosarevok
Hmm
CallerNo6 / legoktm: do you know if you can have a sub-namespace?
(aka, if we could move all of Proposals: to History:Proposals: )
m8ram
follow up question: when I try to edit the title to include the "(version)" I need to select a recording. There are two existing recordings with slightly different track lengths.
how do I know if this is the same recording or not?
Freso
There should be a button on top "Use existing recordings"
m8ram
ok thx
CallerNo6
reosarevok, will look into it.
legoktm
reosarevok: sure, but MW will just treat it all as the history namespace
reosarevok
So there's no concept of subspaces or anything?
Hmm.
Freso
Isn't that fine?
reosarevok
Well, it's probably ok, it'd just be nicer if you could search specifically for History:Proposals stuff
Not that anyone ever looks for those though I guess :p
in case anyone who isn't active in Discourse is interested (also, go be active in Discourse! ;) )

reosarevok, I don't see any reason why 'History:_Proposals:' would be an invalid namespace. The only character restiction I see is "no spaces". Or do you need it to have some sort of hierarchy like categories/sub-categories?

reosarevok
Oh, as a separate namespace? Maybe!
Dunno
I don't care too much
If the best way is to just move it to History, we can do that too
Just try to find a way for them to be less confusing for searching :)
(I mean, if you're willing to do the moving yourself, which would be great if you are :) )
CallerNo6
Sure. So what exactly needs to happen?

Everything in 'Proposals:' moves?
Slurpee joined the channel
reosarevok
Yeah, I think so
Unless you can think of something that is not ancient history that people should disregard
(except for research maybe)

Hello, i have a problem. I try to add a album on MusicBrainz but in the end, it shows me this error message : "Some errors were detected in the data you’ve entered. Click on the tabs shaded red and correct any visible errors." Except I do not see any errors in the data that I entered. Someone would have a solution to this problem please? Thank you in advance.
CallerNo6
Animalia, were there any fields highlighted in red?
CallerNo6 Yes, the fields highlighted in red are "Release information" and "Tracklist"
CallerNo6
Is the 'Artist' field green?
jesus2099 has quit
That and 'Release Group' need to be green before you can submit.
(sorry, I don't know what you do/don't know already)
Animalia
No, the 'Artist' is written in red "You haven’t entered a complete artist credit." And there are nothing on 'Release Group'
CallerNo6
Okay. The 'Artist' field is actually a search field. It's asking you to look for an artist in the MB database. When you've selected a match, it will turn green.
If you can't find the correct match, you'll need to add the artist first, before adding the release.
(and if the artist has a common name, please make sure that you select the correct one)
