"chorder" sounds like rhythm guitar to me. Perhaps "coordinator" could be conductor?

CatQuest, I was also thinking along the lines of choir master as you suggested, but wasn't sure if "performed by school children" meant singing or played on instruments.

(obviously Violin Concerto is a rather generic name, so it could be something else, but on first glance it seems to fit)
