Little League Records changed their name to Little L Records due to copyright issues

they had 80 releases on the old name

and still going strong with the new.

Since we use imprints on recordings rather than labels, I would create a new imprint with the new "name" and then a label-label which the two are "imprint of"'s.

Well, as I understand it, "LLR" would go on all the releases, as that's the imprint.

2 and 3 are linked with "rename", 1 is linked to 2 & 3 as "imprint of"

So "Little L Records" with an 'expired' alias "Little League Records".

If there's a "renamed" AR, it might make sense to make three entities (at least until we get per-relationship "ACs", so you can do ©/(p) to the name listed on the releases.

(And other applicable relationships... distribution, etc.)

alternately, just have one label (LLR) and ignore the rest. the guidelines for "rename" say, in part, "Try to remember that MusicBrainz is not a corporate database, so keep it simple."

Now, when CorporateBrainz exists, I'm totally going to those summits. Those cats'll know how to party for sure.

If they are prominently credited on the release, then yes.

Freso: well, removing <a> from <h1> breaks some other user scripts i guess, no ? i guess so. oh i know, i could just hide the <a> and show the text, this way it would not break and i could make it part of an public script like turbo for instance, yes.
