When I select the autocomplete dropdowns for the field in Fx, it even strips the spaces.
CatCat
it used to add spaces
around "vs." and "feat."
(as well as around "&" and after ",")

Was that feature removed at some point?
reosarevok
It broke and nobody fixed it IIRC
reosarevok has to go now though

Nyanko-sensei: But isn't a not-so-great scan better than no-scan-at-all?
And yeah, if I use "auto" completion for the join phrase in Fx, it will strip whitespace.

are there any official docs on the difference between release and standalone recording?
kepstin-laptop
other than whatever's on the page for standalone recordings, no
standalone recordings are a bit of a sore spot for me and a few other people, since i often want to attach info like release dates, etc. to individual recordings put out by an artist that aren't music releases in the traditional sense
which of course standalone recordings don't have
and standalone recordings naturally lose all their standaloneness if the recording is ever put on a release.

yeah, the classical release mode isn't really applicable to things like free songs for download

Freso
Fx -> Firefox
Fx is also Firefox.

fx is like.. effects (ie special effects)
ja jøss da. men kan vi ikke holde oss til en forkortelse i stedet for a finne opp nye i eninga jus kun for å forvirre en stakkar?
what's wrong with just using ff I guess my argument was :)
CallerNo6
see? if you don't expand those abbreviations, all heck breaks loose
Freso
FF? That's Final Fantasy, not a browser.
;)
Freso usually abbreviates Firefox to Ffx, just to add to the mix.
