if for a soundtrack, neither the front nor the spine have anything other than "Name of the Show", but the back has "Original Television Soundtrack", is that enough to make it a subtitle for the release/RG?
neither of the two discs has that subtitle on it either - it's only on the back
The RG is also currently also listed with "A & B" as artist, where A is the composer and B is an artist performing the last track. There is a "Featuring 'Song' performed by B" on the front cover, but that doesn't feel like enough to add B to the RG/Release artist

What are the requirements that need to be met for an artist and their work to be added to the database? Obviously, their work need to be publicly available. But do artists that only released their work on Bandcamp, or self-published qualify?
I have a release which is shown as having 13 tracks on Bandcamp. But when you buy and download it, there is actually a 14th track inside. Does anybody know what I should do in this case?
Yaniel
mark it as a bonus track
same as with CDs that contain unlisted tracks
Sylvhem
OK, thanks.
Also, same release have a track with “(Remix by X)” in its name. Is it OK to credit the artists with something like “Y, remix by X“?
Sorry if this is dumb question, but I’m just starting and the style guide wasn’t super clear on that one.
Yaniel
there's some inconsistency with such tracks
Sylvhem
Well, I will do like this then. It can always be changed later if needed after all.
Yaniel
you could make it have two artists credited
or just keep the original artist and add a "remixed by" relationship
Sylvhem
Yaniel, sorry but how to mark a track as a bonus track exactly? I can’t find the useful part of that in the documentation.

for a remix like that I would not put the remixer in the track/recording artist (unless it's explicitly credited that way on the release); that's what the remixed by relationship is for
just "(bonus track)" in the title
Sylvhem
Zastai: It’s supposed to be a remix, but the non-remixed version isn’t public as far as I know. Also, it’s explicitly credited like this on the release.
Thank you!
Zastai
I meant only if it says "Artist, remixed by Remixer" where it otherwise has "Artist" - if it has "Track (Remix by Remixer)", it should be "Track (remix by Remixer)" in MB, and you add the remixed-by to the recording
it does not matter that the original is unreleased
[19:23] <Sylvhem> Yaniel, sorry but how to mark a track as a bonus track exactly? I can’t find the useful part of that in the documentation.
sylvhem: Yaniel was incorrect there. you do not mark a track like that. what yo udo is include it with any name as given. if it does not have name it's title should be [untitled] and artist should be whoever he artist is (if the artist is also unknown it's arts should be the special purpose artist [unknown])
for "[18:59] <Sylvhem> Also, same release have a track with “(Remix by X)” in its name. Is it OK to credit the artists with something like “Y, remix by X“?"
you should put the artist as the Y artist, and as Yaniel said, add a "remixed by" relationship, (unless said credit is very prominent on the cover art/credits, but usually this is not the case)

[19:51] <Zastai> just "(bonus track)" in the title <-- no do not do this
if it has "Track (Remix by Remixer)", it should be "Track (remix by Remixer)"
no. it should not have "remixed by remixer" in the title. ever the title
albertus1 joined the channel
never the title

the artist could be if it's written in the artist section. but if it's written in the tracktitle section, just use advanced relationships. never write "remix by [artist]", "bonus track", etcetra in track titles or recording names
